Wildland Fire Safety for Non-Firefighting Personnel

8 Hour Course
Summary Description

Many organizations such as utility providers, transportation personnel, law enforcement, etc., have the potential to find themselves in dangerous situations involving wildfires. Signet’s Wildland Fire Safety for Non-Firefighting Personnel course is specifically designed to bring participants to an understanding of the inherent hazards found in wildland fire situations and safety measures that can be taken.

This fully customizable 8-hour course introduces students to characteristics and interactions of the wildland fire environment (fuels, weather, and topography) that affect wildland fire behavior for safety purposes as well as safety measures to be taken. The materials in this course are based on elements of the National Wildfire Coordinating Group wildland fire behavior curriculum. Customization fully allows for more extensive coverage of any subject matter area, depending on the previous experience and specific requirements of each individual.

Signet North America make the training even better by using your team’s own equipment whenever possible. That way, everyone learns how to use the gear they already work with. This hands-on experience helps your team recognize strengths, find areas for improvement, and build confidence in real-life situations.

No matter your experience level, we can adjust the content to match your needs. Whether you’re new to wildfire zones or want a deeper look into specific topics, this course grows with you.
