Signet North America’s Technical Chemistry for Tactical Response course, based on 2022 NFPA 470 Chapter 38, Competencies for Hazardous Materials/WMD Technicians with an Advanced Chemical Risk Assessment and Analysis Specialty, is geared towards those hazardous materials technicians assigned to implement advanced chemical risk assessment and analysis operations at hazardous materials/WMD incidents. This course focuses on the application of technical chemistry to real-world hazmat response. Participants will explore chemical properties, reactions, and behaviors under different environmental conditions, focusing on how these factors influence risk assessment and tactical decisions.

Previous training to the Hazardous Materials Technician level is strongly
recommended, though not required. Upon completion of the course, the attendee will receive a Certificate of Completion from Signet North America.
