This 8-hour hands-on course is designed to make hazmat chemical terminology applicable for emergency responders as found in 2002 NFPA 470. Rather than simply discuss the terms, responders will actually create and observe the various behaviors, and learn how these behaviors are relevant in the field at 2:00 a.m.
Through live demonstrations and interactive exercises, responders will gain a working knowledge of chemical properties, reactivity, and response tactics. This training ensures they can confidently apply their skills in real-world hazmat incidents
Chemistry You Will Actually Use includes the terms outlined in NFPA 470 including but not limited to the following concepts:
The goal of this Signet North America Chemistry You’ll Actually Use Experience is to ensure that personnel will better understand the chemical terminology required of them by NFPA 470.
